Tapered chod beads are an essential component for the presentation of helicopter and chod set-ups. The tapered hole ensures a one-way snug fit over the leader silicone as well as enabling the bead to discharge under pressure. They also aid in the hooking ability when the rig is free running in addition to being moveable to any position on the leader depending on what type of lake bed you are fishing over.
